How we compare labels

Korean Snack Guide compares Korean snacks, instant noodles and drinks by what is actually printed on the label: calories, sodium, sugar, protein and the ingredient list. Every figure is taken from the product's nutrition label as filed with Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). We do not estimate, and we do not score products. Ingredient flags mean an ingredient is written on the label — they are not certifications, and they do not rule out shared production lines.

How we cover new arrivals

New-product news is separate from our nutrition-label comparisons. Launch dates, announced prices and sales channels are attributed to the retailer or manufacturer's announcement linked in each article. These details are not MFDS nutrition-label data. Availability, prices and promotions can vary by store and date.

We do not present a launch announcement as a hands-on taste test. Product illustrations are not a substitute for checking the actual package. For ingredients and allergy information, always check the package of the product you are buying.
